Another Glowing TripAdvisor Review- Honua Kai

We just returned from the Honua Kai, in a 2 bedroom ocean view unit in the Hokulani Tower which we loved. I too have nothing but praise for Ted at the front desk. He was my ‘Christmas miracle,’ when we checked in very late Christmas day evening and decided we wanted another unit. He found us the last unit available in the complex, which turned out to be such a blessing. While the two bedroom has ample space for six, you would need to utilize the sofa sleeper, which my husband was not wild about. He likes everything neat and tidy at all times, and having someone on the pull out sleeper sofa meant that would throw the dynamics off. Thank goodness we were able to get a separate room for the girls, and everyone was happy! Thank you again Ted!

The concierge Kimmy was very prompt and helpful, and always willing to look for whatever we inquired about. She suggested a whale watch with a company I didn’t know a lot about (only because it isn’t reviewed alot, but is well deserving of high marks) that was truly like something out of a National Geographic show. (I will review that later, but it was Captain Steve’s Lanai Snorkel trip with Jonathon and Jeff, the only two I will ever go out with again!) so thank you Kimmy for that!

We booked our unit through Unikta Vacations, and Nikta made sure every detail of our trip ran like clock work, not to mention that she is one of the nicest, more sincere people you will ever meet! My husband is a very discriminating traveler, and he was impressed. We are already looking to return next Christmas. Maui is ‘heaven on earth,’ that’s for sure! Go with total confidence, but know that you may never want to leave.

Another Glowing TripAdvisor Review- Island Sands #605

This was my third trip to Maui and this time I stayed in Unit #605 at Island Sands Resort. In the past I have stayed at the Hyatt and other hotels on the island. Staying at Island Sands was a nice change due to it’s central location and ability to visit all parts of the island. The unit itself was clean and well decorated. There was impressive response from the owners both before, during and after our vacation. The owners made sure that any and all needs were met. If you want a more local feel without the crowds of resorts this would be a real option. The owners left a welcome basket for guests and previous renters leave supplies so you feel right at home.

Another Glowing TripAdvisor Review- Island Sands #605

We recently vacationed in Maui at the Island Sands in Maalaea unit #605. Our accommodations were nice and clean and made us feel right at home. The views were breath taking. We found the wind to be a little strong at times but it was a wonderful vacation and we look forward to going back again soon. We would definitely recommend this location which is in close driving distance to a lot of the other areas.

Another Glowing TripAdvisor Review- Maalaea Banyan #219

We visited Maui for our first time from November 16 to December 14, 2010. WOW! It has been an unbelievably amazing vacation. We researched condo rentals on Maui and eventually settled on Unit 219, Maalaea Banyans owned by the most accommodating host…Nikta Houston. The unit is only about 20 minutes from the Kahului Airport (OGG) and is centrally located on the island of Maui. The unit has state of the art appliances..sub-zero fridge, drawer microwave, glass top stove with convection oven, 2 dishwashers, washer & dryer. Beautiful rattan furniture.
Best points:
View whales right from the lanai (balcony)
Trade winds make sleeping at night so comfortable (no need for the air conditioner)
View from lanai is spectacular
Comfortable queen bed
Modern bathroom
Everything you need is here (i.e. everything for the beach…cooler, umbrella, chairs, beach towels, thermal mugs, ice paks, snorkel gear, boogie board, sun bathing mats).
Fully stocked kitchen (spices, every dish, glass, pot, pan, utensil you will need)
More linens than you will use in 2 months
Little extras: fresh fruit, chocolates, coffee beans (and a grinder) when you arrive plus a welcome note from Nikta.
Just when you think Nikta may have forgotten something (large vase for Hawaiian bouquet) you look in another cupboard and there it is. She hasn`t forgotten anything. Her attentiion to detail is unsurpassed. And then, just in case something is missing, Nikta calls to see if there is anything else she can do for you. Nikta is a walking book of knowledge on the island of Maui and imparts her knowledge freely. Don`t miss the `Swap Meet`at the Maui College grounds every Saturday. Great prices on fresh fruit and vegetables. Beautiful jewellery, wood carvings, etc.
Anyway, I`ve gone on and on…but truly, if you choose to stay at Unit 219 at Maalaea Banyans owned by Nikta Houston, you will have the best time with no disappointments. (Did I mention the weather is perfect..mid 80`s during the day and low 70`s in the night and virtually no rain for the entire month).

The Waterfront Restaurant is just down the road (5 minute walk) and the food, service and view are the best. You should visit `Mama`s Fish House` in Pa`ia, exceptional view, service and food. We love the beach at Makena..wide, long beach with crystal clear water.

Nikta Houston, thank you so much for having us stay in your condo unit 219. It was perfect. You know and live customer service. Thanks again.
