Married on Maui

We flew to Kahului from the other side of the world (Vienna/Austria) and we found the wonderful and romantic  place on Maui, we ever could find! We had best ocean view, we could see green turtle s and whales. The condo is soooo close to the sea, that we couldn’t sleep well because of the rush and the waves. No, it was so heavenly to sit on the lanaii and enjoy the breeze. The view is spectacular! Every morning we could’t believe that the  palm trees blow gentle in the wind and the birds  twitter. It’s thanks to Nikta (the owner), that we had such a perfect vacation. The fridge was filled with everything you need for a good breakfast (fruits, homemade banana bread, coffee, …) . If we needed help to get somewhere special, she replied immediately or helped on the phone. From Maalaea Banyans you have a very good point to get everywhere on the island and it is very, very quiet!!! We married  on Maui, so it was a very special vacation for us, but we know … We will come again VERY SOON to live this ‘

Perfect vacation spot in paradise

We stayed at the Maalaea Banyans ocenanfront condo #219 for 6 nights. This is in central area and it is so convenient to go around the island. It has unbelievable view and you can see and hear wave crashing onto the shore. We really enjoy having breakfast on the lanai, hearing bird chirping and wave gentlely crashing onto shore. Fortunately there is full moon during our stay. The view of the bay under the moonlight is so magical. The unit is well decorated and owner pay a lot of attention for detail. The shower floor is an piece of art. The owner Nikta is so helpful and friendly. She truly make this unit is home away from home. She welcome us with terrific fruit basket. She make you feel so welcome and connected. We can not ask for a better place to stay on Maui. We definitely will stay at the wonderful unit again when we come back to Maui.

Oasis in an Oasis

As if Maui and all of Hawaii isn’t beautiful enough, this condo is the icing on the cake! As others have said, the views of the Pacific Ocean are magnificent and the whales are right in front of you. This one bedroom unit has every upgrade you can imagine and the owner, Nikta Houston, makes sure your stay is beyond comfortable, even purchased a crockpot for us to use when only asked if she had one! Did I fail to mention the goodies on the kitchen counter upon our arrival? This owner has thought of EVERYTHING and truly goes out of her way to make sure her guests love Maui as much as she does. More icing on this cake? Make sure you have the opportunity to meet Nikta, a Maui treasure for sure!!

Return trip to Maui

We had a wonderful time staying in this condo. We had relatives staying next door, and we were able to share meals on the lenai and spend time together sightseeing and sunbathing. Seeing the turtles right outside our room and walking on the beach every morning were highlights of our stay. It was quiet and peaceful with gorgeous sunrises visible from the condo. The owner was very helpful. We will definitely visit this property again.

First trip to Maui

What a wonderful experience we had on our first trip to Maui. This one bedroom condo was recommended to us and we were so lucky to have those people as friends. Upon arrival we heard the ocean and it sounded wonderful. We had AC in the room but never used it as we wanted to have the ocean breeze and the sound of the surf coming into the room. This is not like a motel or hotel room but a home. Beautifully decorated and all the supplies you could want for the kitchen and bath. The owner also supplies beach chairs, towels, coolers and ice packs. It was very clean with all up to date appliances including a washer and dryer. Also upon arrival a wonderful gift basket was on the kitchen counter filled with fresh local fruit, coffee, sweet treats, and chips. We were within walking distance of the Maui Ocean Center and a short drive to beaches and anywhere else we chose to go. It was a quiet building, large lawn area, pool and a BBQ that we could use. While sitting on our lanai each day we could watch the sea turtles in the surf, mostly in the evening. Beautiful view to wake up to each morning while enjoying our coffee, from the gift basket. The owner is very friendly and always there for you if you need anything. I would recommended this condo to anyone that wishes to enjoy Maui.

My husband & I have visited Maui many times previously (this was our eighth trip) and have stayed at this property at least 5 times. We’ve found that we prefer this oceanfront (somewhat hidden gem) over other better known locations. You can’t beat the central location, nor the beautiful views. We particularly love the sunrises over Haleakala (Maui’s Volcano) and the fact that this property faces the sun in the morning and the lanai is shaded in the afternoons. We have enjoyed many beautiful sunrises here and we love relaxing with our wine, cheese and crackers on the lanai in the afternoons with the trade winds gently blowing. This is the first time we had the pleasure of staying in this particular unit. I don’t normally review the properties that we stay at, but this condo is so exceptional and well stocked that I felt compelled to share our experience. This is not a typical rental; it is furnished beautifully and is very comfortable. You can tell that Nikta, the owner, cares about the comfort of her guests and has done a wonderful job of making sure that any need a guest might have is met We were greeted with fresh flowers and a welcome basket – totally unexpected, but very much appreciated!! As can happen in any home, during our 10 day stay the CD player furnished went on the blink. I called Nikta, who is close by on the island, to let her know. We coordinated schedules and she stopped by with our blessing to check it out, which was very nice as we were able to meet her. She replaced the CD player, awesome as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday and our anniversary and had brought our favorite music with us. Again much appreciated…… If your stay in Maui coincides with the whale watching season, this is a superb location. The bay that this condo sits on is well known for its whale activity. The new mothers quite frequently stay in this harbor bay with their young and this trip we were blessed to catch quite a few sightings, including a mother teaching her baby to slap its fin and tale! There are many places to eat within walking distance, another reason this location is perfect. Not to mention the nearby beach. Maalaea harbor has all the activities you could want. Start to finish, this vacation was everything we wanted and met our every expectation. We’re looking forward to staying here again. This location/vacation home has our highest recommendation!!

Our favorite place to stay on Maui!

This is our third time in Nikta’s condo at Ma’alaea Banyans, and it is always a great experience. Being able to watch the sunrise over Haleakala and then walk just a couple of blocks to a quiet sandy beach for a long morning stroll and swim makes our visits to Maui just perfect. We are visiting family in Kahului, so the location is extremely convenient, but it would also be a great base to explore any part of Maui. The condo itself has absolutely everything you might want for your stay, and the complex is very well-maintained. Nikta is accessible and generous, going above and beyond to make sure your visit is exactly what you want, including providing a lovely welcome basket.

Been Hosting for Awhile

As the title of this review implies, Nikta has been hosting people at the condo for some time. All of the details I would have thought about (eventually) were thought out before we arrived. The Wi-Fi info was in a place easy to find, there were instructions for everything and the unit had everything we needed (towels, soap, dishes, dish soap, etc. etc. etc. Nikta also communicated very well and responded to a couple of questions I had once we arrived. We were very very happy with the ease of staying here. Additionally, the units were well kept, in a nice location and the other residents were very respectfully of the quiet hour. If we ever make it back to Maui, we’ll definitely look to stay here again.

Property was exactly as described, Nikta has clearly perfected the experience! Clean, comfortable, and a gorgeous view! The grounds are well kept, and the staff was very friendly. Pool and hot tub are well kept and warm- enjoyed watching the turtles every morning from the lanai… absolutely zero complaints- if you’re reading this do yourself a favor and just book it 🙂

We had a great time in Maui. Property has an EXCELLENT ocean front view but don’t expect a big sandy beach. Plenty of beaches in Maui a short drive away. Coming back next year

Perfect

We stayed here for 11 days and we were very pleased with the accommodations (very clean, has everything you need and it’s nicely decorated) and especially the view. I would not, however, suggest staying here without a rental car. The owner is exceptionally helpful.

Great location and value

Right beside the most amazing 5 mile beach. The view of the ocean is stunning. This condo is clean and well equipped. Excellent value. Nikta is always available for any questions. I recommend this place highly.

The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for the week. Nikta graciously left a basket for us with some fruit and goodies, and also the best banana bread in the fridge! The view from the lanai was simply amazing. We saw sea turtles daily, and a few of the mornings we were able to see humpback whales – bring binoculars!

Honeymoonin in Maui

This cozy water front condo was perfect for our Maui trip; just a short ride to all the main parts of the island. Everything we needed was at our fingertips – coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, etc. The ocean and Haleakala views from the balcony were stunning and Nikita was a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommend.

This condo was everything we were looking for and more. It was centrally located to everything so we never had to drive very far to get to any corner of the island. We were so pleased to find plenty of towels, noodles, a cooler, and chairs for the beach. The beach next to the condo is also beautiful and so peaceful which was a nice change from the popular westside beaches. We saw turtles and whales from the balcony everyday and enjoyed sunrise over the mountains in the distance.

Great Place

This place is wonderful. Right on the oceanfront and located only about 15 minutes from Lahaina, Wailea and the airport. It has a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. Nikta even supplied the coffee that was a real treat. We only needed one thing and she was right there to take care of it. She also has everything you need for the beach. Beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, boogie board and coolers. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Once again, we are amazed at how well-stocked this condo is! Nikta has thought of everything. Combine that with an ideal location (a block to a great beach for walking and even a couple spots good for swimming, easy to get anywhere on Maui from here) and fantastic views for sunrise and sunset. . .it doesn’t get any better. Mahalo, Nikta!
